The other day I received a nice little letter from a branch of my bank, thanking me for visiting their branch! It was apologising for the wait (very short one) and said that a leaflet was enclosed suggesting alternative methods of banking! As I do everything possible on-line and only called in because someone had sent me a cheque, I was curious as to what these ‘alternative methods of banking’ might be – osmosis? Excitedly (I exaggerate slightly) I took the leaflet and behold, it was a Customer Complaints guide! So, the alternative to queuing up to bank cheques is to complain? I’ll never understand the bank!
